III. Payment

At the Bank not only the time requisite for the payment
of a given sum is rendered altogether
uncalculable, not only by the perfect uncertainty of the sums
as well as point of magnitude as of nessevenness
(I mean the number of the pieces of money necessary to
compose each sum it) but by the equally perfect uncertainty
with regard to the number of applicants within coming at
the samea given time: and were even both these points
