Law Amendment or Penal Code

All men being of a certain race were
known Saints in Italy.

It is thus suited to the purpose of enabling the weakest
to pass muster among along the strongest mind. None so weak as
not by practice use to enable itself to learn in so far as it is
capable of being learnt, the import of the technical words new
phrase employed by the labourer who at
work in the field of law. No superiority of understanding
is requisite to enable a man to hold conversation converse in
that branch of the language which being under the
name of the thieves court in the flash language is which in
being suited to the designs common purposes has been framed for use, and in
conversation with one another employed by unlicenced
depredators: little more superiority in that faculty
is necessary to enable a man to hold converse with
that which being suited to the common purpose has been
framed for the use and in conversation with one another
employed by those con licensed, unpunishable and unresistible and unpunishable class of depredators.

Nothing can be more commodious to the worthless
in every line than verbal conferences by which the
characters in themselves the most are clothed
in the same garb: no man too silly to be termed
learned when by learned is meant law learned, no
man too profligate to be termed reverend.

In the one case it is true as in the other, a
certain qualification must have been possessed. But in
the one case what the qualification consists of is in the
eaten at certain intervals a certain number of dinners
as in one or other of a certain number of places
in the other in the having borne a certain part in a certain
ceremony a certain part which any man who has a
memory may be brought to bear.
