On Law reform
much has been said.
In relation to this subject
various dispositions
interests wishes & endeavours.

On the subject of Law-Reform, now already for some years
past not a little has been said. In relation to a subject
on which so many interests are concerned — in which so
many interests have been and continue to be at stake
various of course have been as various as mens their interests
have been mens dispositions, interests, wishes
and endeavours. Of these our endeavours shall be on the present
occasion to be given a slight sketch. Imagination
presents them to our view assembled all together at a
masquerade: no fewer nationalities, faces few indeed:
with in masques of various figures no small abundance.

6
As in Parliamentary
so in law Reform
1. Radical Reformists.
2. Moderate do. 3. Anti-
reformists

Thorough Law- or say Radical Reformists. Moderate Law-Reformists
Anti-Refor Law Anti- Law Reformists these
distinctive—these classes we already have already Parliamentary Reform laws already introduced
to notice. These same distinctions may serve for
Law Reform: and to them we shall take time to add
one other — the concealed Reformist: the man who in
this shape "do good by stealth, and forasmuch as they fear to foremost as they find it fame.
Of This class and this class alone is the object which in this
case is held up to view: for nothing to fear from us has
the any individual [member of this class] the mask which
prudence has kept or put on generously abhors the very thought
of any endeavour to pull off.
