Art. 6. By the collateral end of justice understand
the minimization of certain evils which are incident to
and in some degree inseparable from the pursuit of the
direct end or ends of justice. These are 1 delay;
2; vex expence. 3. vexation. For the connection between
these three branches of the collateral evil see § .
