Injunctions as preventive remedies extended so
as to include the execution of positive performance of
positive services. Example. An injunction to pre
prevent the pulling down a party wall issued when
the greater part of the wall was already pulled
down. The injunction restrained the defendant from
leaving the wall in any other state than that in
which he found it before he began pulling it down
and thus obliged him to build it up again.

Example 2d. In a colliery case the owner of one
colliery had destroyed and cut away dams and barriers
which had been left to protect his neighbours coal mine
from the danger of the influx of water. He was made
to build up these dams & barriers by means of an
injunction to restrain him from leaving them in any
other state than that in which he found them.
