me see Your correspondence with the Treasury. — No, Sir;

from the beginning to end, and you will see no more of
the matter than you see now. In no part of the correspondence
is there any thing about the particulars of the

a single letter and this a negation concerning of in relation to which the whole
correspondence would not afford any other a tittle of proof than
what is in addition to what has been here already said.
If any letter can be produced, indicative of the any
such specific appropriation as is here negatived denied by me then
is th my denial in respect of it false: but no such
letter exists.
As little will any person be found, to assert speak of any such
appropriation as having been stipulated for, in any oral
conversation.
