The Doctrine of the Remonstrants with
respect to the second Article, concerning the
universality of the Merits of the Death of Christ.
1. The ransom offered by Christ to his Father
was not only sufficient in and by itself

it was likewise actually paid for all and
singular persons, pursuant to the determination,

absolute and previous Decree of God.

both with his Righteousness and truth, for the
sake of those merits, been able and willing to
enter into a new Covenant of Grace with Sinners,
and those who were obnoxious to damnation.
3. Altho Christ hath meritted reconcilation
to God, and pardon of sins for all mankind
yet according to the terms of the new Covenant Covenan
of Grace, none can really partake of the advantages
which Christ's Death has obtained,
