<p><head>Of Pecuniary Forfeitures</head></p>
 
<p>We now come to consider the several kinds<lb/>
 
of Forfeitures and first the sorts of Forfeiture that<lb/>
<add><del>bears the name of</del></add> bear the name of pecuniary <add>and quasi-pecuniary</add>.  Forfeiture of money,<lb/>
and what is exchangeable for money.</p>
<p>Money is the representative of <del>the instruments</del><lb/>
almost every thing that has a value:  of all sorts<lb/>
of instruments <add><del>although</del> and of most of the individual instruments</add> of pleasure or security.</p>

Of Pecuniary Forfeitures

We now come to consider the several kinds
of Forfeitures and first the sorts of Forfeiture that
bears the name of bear the name of pecuniary and quasi-pecuniary. Forfeiture of money,
and what is exchangeable for money.

Money is the representative of the instruments
almost every thing that has a value: of all sorts
of instruments although and of most of the individual instruments of pleasure or security.

For As to the method whereby this punishment
is inflicted, it is by in the first place
by obliging the party under a severer penalty
to deliver the quantity sum of money in question
to some person who is appointed to receive it; or in case of failure authorising
such receiver officer to seize and sell such & as
many of their other effects of the delinquent as shall
produce it.

the Law to inflict these a punishment of this sort
they are as follows:
