<p>With regard to the expedients to be employ'd<lb/>

without being destructive, the following observations<lb/>
may be attended to.  They are extracted from a<lb/>
pamphlet entitled A View of the Hard Labour<lb/>

<p>Many persons however are of opinion<lb/>
that the circumstance of its being underground<lb/>

to be omitted in the construction of a dungeon.<lb/>
A dungeon <del>under</del> <add>above</add> ground, say they, is<lb/>
a contradiction in terms:  nor will any body regard<lb/>
it.  It may <add>therefore</add> be adviseable <del>therefore</del> perhaps to have the dungeons underground;  but upon this<lb/>

With regard to the expedients to be employ'd

I have found it to be the opinion of several
