<p>When any person is sentenced to perpetual<lb/>
confinement &amp; Hard Labour <del>wha</del> <add>what remains of</add> his effects &amp;<lb/>
all his rights beneficial &amp; fiduciary shall pass from him<lb/>
<del>descend to his representatives</del> in the same manner<lb/>
as if he were dead.</p>
<p>So if he were sentenced to perpetual<lb/>
Imprisonment: but in this case the Judge may<lb/>
appoint him a certain allowance out of the<lb/>
said effects.</p>
<p>The Judge upon assigning a particular<lb/>
reason may in such case suspend the disposal<lb/>
of the effects: for instance the expectation of evidence<lb/>
tending to <del>an</del> acquittal or mitigation: or<lb/>
the expectation of further claimants.</p>

a Testament</note>
<p>The Court may also indulge the criminal<lb/>
with liberty to make a testament: but not all<lb/>
after seeing and approving it.</p>

Marriage</note>
<p>The sentence of perpetual punishment<lb/>
if the offender be married, his marriage is of<lb/>
course dissolved: unless the Court for several clauses<lb/>
postpone the dissolution.</p>

descend to his representatives in the same manner
as if he were dead.

So if he were sentenced to perpetual
Imprisonment: but in this case the Judge may
appoint him a certain allowance out of the
said effects.

The Judge upon assigning a particular
