As the Old Bailey Session in 1802,
Wilson fr was convicted of the murder of the wife and child by
pushing them into the Serpentine River in Hyde Park, where they
were drowned. The evidence, on which the conviction was grounded
was purely circumstantial evidence. No witness appeared
who saw have seen, or proposed to have seen the act, or any
of the parties at or very near at the time of the act.
