Petitions

1o
Supplement

10 §.11

19
Still it does honour
produces good effect
enough to do honour
to the Colbĭöernsen

With all its imperfections, and after all these distractions
large as they are from the good which a system directed unreservedly
to the ends of justice would be productive of, vast, as any one
may see, is the benefit that can not but have been thus produced .
Proportant is the need of praise respect and affection due for all lovers of mankind to Christian Colbĭöernsen such is the
name of the philos Attorney General of the Kingdom of Denmark, such the official situation, of the enlightened philanthropist by whom
with whom as we know from p.118 it originated and by
whose labours it was brought had bore the principal part in the
birth of it.

20
By it has been conferred
by an absolute
Monarchy, a greater
benefit in the way of
justice, than in an
aristocracy-ridden and
lawyer-ridden Monarchy
has been or is like in a
way to be.

Here In this wish of effective may be seen
the a benefit which under an absolute Monarchy it has been
possible for the people to receive: in in this same institution may be
seen a benefit which under an aristocracy-ridden and lawyer
ridden and corrupt Monarchy working by corruption and
in that sense working well, it never yet has been possible
for the no for the people to receive — nor will it to the end of
time unless and until on their part wisdom and energys sufficient to inspire a solitary
terror shall peradventure be found
