friends. If his servants neither any party injured nor any offender person concerned in this offence can write, let a messenger be
provided, and let him the party injured be called upon to
dictate what he thinks proper to the messenger.
Let This message whether by epistolary or verbal,
let the offender be bound to get convey'd
without delay to the place of it's destination: and if it does
not get there or not in due time, let the presumption
be that it was not sent or was wilfully
delay'd: subject however to counter-proof,
if any such can be given.
In lieu of this proceed process, or along
with it if required on the part of the party
confined, let the confiner be bound to present
the confinee upon the demand to the Constable of the place where
the demand is made. This may be looked upon
as a step of Procedure taken by the confinee
in the view of procuring his enlargement:
