Analysis

Corruption and Depravity—Profligacy (by which is meant acquired Depravity)
are terms is a term the import of which in the moral department of human affairs knowledge
the signification is still in most minds as vague and indeterminate
as till within the last half century it was in
the physical.

The following slight analytical sketch slight as it
is may, in addition to whatever use utility it may be afford
in the way of general theory by fixing the import of terms which
in the way of reasoning from the bases of so many political measures, have the
particular use of satisfying demonstrating/affording satisfaction to any purpose person to whose
convenience the receiving of any such satisfaction may be
reconcilable that amongst of all imaginable manifestations
and causes of moral corruption there is not one that is not
grown up
exist not in perfection in New South Wales: corruption, a plant weed
contiguous to and rooted in the very nature of the establishment that distant soil, under
favour of the distance, seconded by as much assistance as could be derive afforded could not be observed
afforded from to it by the incapacity and negligence on the part of the founders and
successive managers of it the establishment, here at home, as could easily be
manifested by persons drawn/cast up by the curr/tide of politics into their
respective situations.

Corruption is a term made as synonymous to depravity
when considered as acquired.

Along with corrupt In company as with in place of corruption
and depravity we find profligacy, licentiousness
wickedness, vice, together with others too many to enumerate
here which to by the votaries of tactical morality
are employed with as little more fruit or meaning than the beads
employed by the votaries of now or once in use among religionists of certain classes.
