Propose that Papists should have
That a Cross should be set up over the principal
Door of every House where any one of the

A Scheme of this effectual kind (effectual I mean
should it be entere'd into approved of by those in whose power it
is deigned)which would bring every one of that people within the knowledge and the mercy of Governmentwould be looked upon with jealous
eye by the Papists themselves, were they not satisfied
as I trust they are that it is now become
the fixed and permanent resolution of the Government
not to afford them any molestation which it is
possible to avoid.
God forbid it should be put in practice
