10 C Of Compensation.

Of a thing to be made amends for, the greatest Value shall be preferred.

Example.
A Man buys a Horse for instance for £10; a
thief shortly after steals it and sells it for £15. This shall
entitle the owner to have it valued at £15. If the Horse had
sold but for £5, still the owner would have been intituled
to have it valued at £10.

Restitution of a thing aliened by certain offences may be exacted from any possessor
A Party who has been deprived of the possession of a
thing by means of Theft, Enbezzlement, Fraudulent obtainment,
habitation, or Robbery shall be intitled to have it restored
to him be it what it will, so the identity of it can be
ascertained; and that into whose possession it may
have come.
