a person the designation of whom would
not leave a doubt in respect of correctness
on the part of any who should
read it, but would be productive of
no small public mischief and no
good. Should it happen to these pages
ever to meet his eye for he is still living,
this observation will be a security to
him that the confidence that the confidence
which it happened to him to repose
