Favour to Widows orphans &c
(a) To <hi rend='superscript'>other</hi> whole classes presenting claims to favour, on
the score of humanity and commiseration, it might be not
impossible to shew extend favour. To Widows and to orphans orphans
of the female sex— their whole property in capital
and income not exceeding a certain amount to be
limited, substantiated upon Oath. But the day referred
to, must be a day post at the publication
of the provision first made; and that neither day or time
nor if possible so much as the increase should have
been made known to any before the publication thus
made of it to all. Otherwise the protection favour thus meant
for the true object of favour could be purchased or
otherwise obtained by fraud.
