+ If the reader will take the Trouble to cast his Eye
over the table of offences claped according to these motives he will find besides that in
Question which have for their motive the same Thirst
of Lucre. Taking an Utensil belonging to
another without Leave in the Intention of returning
it, one of those petty Offences which the Author
instances as the Number of whi such as these
Expressions are to indemnity, is for the sake of
Lucre: viz: not indeed so much of Luere as
accrues from the using it as long as it lasts, but
so much as accrues from the using it for a Time.

This much for those Acts, which tho'
only petty ones are yet Offences but this serves not any beter to indemnity and kind of
innocent &;amp laudable Acts done in the way of
lawful Commerce, all of which are done for the
Cause of Lucre or, without a motive.
