Note.—The Wages of Six of the Ten Patroles was paid from the Watch Rate, by Act of Parliament, from the
1st of October to the 30th of April, and is not charged to this Account of the Subscription.

Note also.—The Wages of the Patroles from the 9th of May Instant, to the 8th of August next ensuing, to be
paid from the Subscription Money to complete the Year, will amount to £85 3s.

THE COMMITTEE have thought it necessary to publish the State of the Subscription
and their Proceedings thereon, for the Information of the Subscribers; and
have the Satisfaction to assure them, that since the Establishment, founded on
their Liberality, the Inhabitants of the said Parishes have been safe in respect to
their Houses, Property, and Persons. And having been so conducive to the
public Safety, it is submitted as worthy the serious Consideration of the Subscribers
and other Inhabitants, the continuing the same another Year, as the
Necessity thereof seems to be the more increased, from the great Numbers of
Men already discharged, and Daily discharging from the Army and Navy, in
Consequence of the Period to the War.
