16 March 1802 Panopticon Narrative

Lest the series of of successive communications of papers copies of which are in my possession should
prove not to be a compleat one, and lest in that respect
the inference drawn as above from the body of precedents
should be regarded as in conclusion, underneath are two correspondent
parallel lists, one of the several distinct "Papers"
purporting, according to the an aggregate view of
their several title pages, to have been presented to the
House; the other of such of them as of the
existence of which in point, has, by the circumstance
of their being copies of them their being in my possession or otherwise
has come under my I have cognizance. In this list these lists his articles
will be seen of which neither of though there are indications
of their having been presented and printed copy
has ever reached me. But from the mere circumstance
of their having been presented, it does
not follow by any necessary consequence, that
they must have been printed: so that for any
thing I know to the contrary any the series in
my possession may be a compleat one. What
be true on this occasion can at best be no better
than matter of conjecture, will to the proper
Officer in your department, Sir, be a matter
of certainty: If I am not mistaken, Sir,
it was to your favour at the respective times,
that I became was indebted for the copies that I
have.
