<p>I am very sorry I should have given you so much<lb/>trouble by not answering your kind letter by <sic>Thursdays</sic> post;<lb/>but, if you remember, you bid me write to you on Thursday or<lb/>Saturday; and as I was pretty busy on <del>Saturday</del> Thursday, I thought<lb/>it would be sufficient if I did not write till today; or else,<lb/>to be sure, if I thought that you would fully expect a letter<lb/>from me by <sic>Thursdays</sic> post, I should not have been so disobedient<lb/>as to have deferred it till now.
