<p>any person that keepeth husbandry and will within any shire require him so <lb/> to serve. And whereas the number of options hereby allowed afford a pregnant testimony that the obligation hereby <lb/> about to be imposed is not meant as an extension of punishment. And whereas <lb/> by the care taken by <sic>divers</sic> provisions here in after following to facilitate their <lb/> finding employers of their own choice it is endeavoured to leave them in possession<lb/> of every degree of liberty which is compatible with their superior <lb/> regard to the public safety.
