I herewith take the liberty of sending you a copy of
my book intitled Panopticon on the construction and management of Penitentiary & other prisons
in a the state as compleat in which it has lain for some time in readiness
for publication. Allow me to hope that the another
Session will not commence before you find yourself at
leisure to take some notice of a proposal relative to that
subject which I addressed to you on that subject about
ten months ago, and which has since been put into your
hands at different times by Mr Wilberforce and Mr
Steele Should you wish to see any of the points in
it elucidated, the short Contents respectively prefixed to the several parts,
or the general table or Index to n which will conduct
your eye to the part article required, & I hope with little trouble.
