require a great deal more information than I have yet obtained, in
order to satisfy my own mind about it: but I will venture to repeat
what I before said, that circumstanced as I am with respect to that part
of my Estate at Battersea, it will be impossible for me to proceed
a step in the business without being secure of the concurrence and
consent of the Archbishop of York, with whose sentiments I am not
yet sufficiently acquainted.

I return you by this post the letters you communicated
to me, and take the liberty of keeping the other papers till I have
the pleasure of seeing you. If you should have any thing to
write before the 22d, I shall be obliged to you to send it to
my House in St James's Place, from whence it will be forwarded
to me, as I shall not be above a day or two at a time in
the same place for the next three weeks. I am, Sir
