1831 March 2 J.B. to Quarterly on Penitentiary Rudiments

I have reached the age of 83 and though in the
course of years my endeavours to pro intralant improvement
into the state of the laws has necessitated my callingpronouncing for condemnation
on mine as well as things in energetic times by which
sake, and the number of Volumes of mythese works sold in custom
other than my ownin law state of 00,000, it has now happened
to me to see the correctness of my statementsas to matter of fact calling into
question in everyso much as the smallest particular

Having so few days more to live I can not still assent of being
able within that time at the expensein the number of more pressing engagements to
give the history of the Penitentiary business: but of the I here
unfinished those who ever after me will compleat.
