<p>From these <add>two</add> sage Aphorisms when coupled together as they frequently are, we learn <add>that</add>, &#x2014;<lb/>
the Law is [a sort of thing which is] the perfection of it's own life.<lb/>
Another [is] <add>conundrum</add> with which Lawyers take a particular pleasure in insulting the understanding of their readers <add>with peculiar <unclear>compl</unclear><!-- end of word missing at edge of page --></add> <lb/>
Such is the perfection of the Law, <hi rend='underline'>that it in no instance gives a right without a <add>remedy</add></hi><lb/>
