I don't know whether you wWill you think me pardonable for
adding that last night Mr Davies, Ld Howe's 1st> Secret:y
read this letter? When he returned it he said, without a syllable
on my part, & with some emphasis, " certainly you have not
said too much of him. Mr Davies though himself no Shipbuilder
knows how my Brother is thought of by those who are. Mr Davies
knows him intimately perfectly & has gone hand in hand with him in
several of his studies.
