<p>You are a very shabby Gentleman for not

writing to me, for which I desired my Friend Your Son to &#x2014;

abuse his own Father; he has left a Letter with me for You and
<lb/>
a pair of <gap/> Stockings and a pair of Socks, and three pair of

warm Gloves, these <del>was</del> were to come by my Son in Law Cap<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. Brooke

but as they have too many things already, I have begged the Favour of

my Friend Major Gall to take the Letter, the Stockings and one

My dear Sir —

a pair of Stockings and a pair of Socks, and three pair of
warm Gloves, these was were to come by my Son in Law Capt. Brooke
but as they have too many things already, I have begged the Favour of
my Friend Major Gall to take the Letter, the Stockings and one
pair of Gloves, and this Letter of mine comes also by his Favour,
and the Socks and the other two pair of Gloves, shall be sent You
