Since the presentation of the last of their said
two Requests the views of Your Committee having beendirected
led in the course of their enquiries to examine
directed to t its views to Patrick Colquhoun Esqr, one of the Magistrates
lately attached to the Police Office in Westhip
Street Shoreditch and now attached to that Poli
office in Queen's Square Westminster as a
person who by ex situation, experience and
study and appeared to them eminently qualified
to afford them apposite information and assist their
enquiriesjudgment in relation to matters of Policec
and having examined<add>called</add>that Gentleman accoordingly before them and examinedhave received from him at divers times him athe paper printed
in the Appendix ( ) containing a Proposals
the object of which is to consolidate as above
proposed the said two Offices into one, but
at the same time to give to such consolidated
Office a vari other functions of considerable and
indeed collectively taken much superior moment importance,
functions, which though and in considerable number and variety,
but all grounded and the same in one principle, and tending
to one and the same end — giving accordongly to the

Board such consolidated Board theto be distinguished by some such appelation
of as that of The Board of Police Revenue .
or the Central Board of Police.
