of troubling you with this to beg the favour of you to let
me know by a Line whether you know of any such
Letter from my Son as is mentioned in your Father's
Letter to me, or whether you have seen Major Gall
or know where I may direct a Line to him, that I may be able to enquire
to make some Enquiry after my Son's Letter —
My Son when at Paris was then on his way to through the South
of France to Nice & thence to T & Constantinople —
and with a View to Crossing the Black Sea, to the Crimea, & thence into
Russia, to make a Visit to his you Brother
my youngest Son, who is a Coll. in the Service
of the Empress of Russia, but not as I knowing not
at what places he was likley to make any Stop
it might and wanting much to know when to write to him am not without hopes
