Code and forms one of a pasticcio, forming a moderate
sized 8vo. under the same title, which I expect will
be out of the press before the month, (reckoning
from this day,) is at an end. The sheet containing pages
from 144 to 160 of my Constitutional Code is at this
moment on my table. The work will be in 2 vols.
a second volume commences with what regards the
Judiciary Establishment.

As to my own health, I wish I had time
and perseverance to continue the journal of that cutaneous
disorder, which I regret the less, as it gave
me the pleasure of holding converse with you in
the bosom of your amiable and happy family. That
same journal, had it been completed, would have been
of some use, if I am not mistaken, to our friend, Dr.
Dumeril, and through him to a portion, more or
less considerable, of the French Community. My
prurigo cannot be said to be altogether cured,
but it is so near to the being so, that whether the
small remnant goes or stays, is little more than
a matter of indifference. My physician in ordinary
