Offences against Reputation

II Procedure dealt with another person, it may be inferred that
other a multitude of other customers were influenced
in the same manner. For in general it is impossible for a
man to know all the persons who had it not
been for a particular incident, might have dealt
with him. In such cases it were preposterous to
confine the damage aestimated to the damage
proved.

If a man would shall not recover would obtain compensation
for any special damage unless he let him alledge state
it particularly in his complaint.

For this purpose he let is not him state 1. the person
for want of whose good will it was the damage
was sustained. 2. the time on or about which
the damage was sustained. 3. the place if the
place is material and can be ascertained. 4. The event by which it was sustained

In able Lest it should be difficult to know
which person one of a number it was by whom the de for want of whose good will the damage was sustained
he may mention three persons for this purpose;
and if either he appears to be right with
respect to any one of those persons it shall be
sufficient.

If any of these conditions be not complied with
and it appears that for want of such compliance
the Deft was deprived of an opportunity he might
would otherwise have had of making a just defence, then
and not otherwise the trial shall be adjourned;
the costs occasioned by the omission to be from
paid by the Plft.
