The object of this proposal is the ding
of a fund improvem the promoting
the improvementadvancement of the the art of Shipbuilding,
and of thesuch branches of sciences as are subservient
that art, by providing a fund for defraying
the charges of experiments to be made
for that purpose, and for affording rewards
to the exhibitors of such experiments as
upon been formedhaving applied to practice shall turn out
to be productive of beneficial consequences
upon trial shall turn out to be applicable to practice with advantage.
