Recognizing that the on all ordinary occasions
material nature on all occasions with few or no exceptions in every
human breast as in every other breast in every except in so far as natural is an exception
human breast with few or no exceptions the case of self regard for self
the care of self in preference to all other objects is a condition necessary to the
existence of the species to the existence of every sensitive
being I will not seek to my own probity debate be as as possible being, and in particular to every human being, now will I either
in speaking or writing a benevolence all the even when absolutely considered, still much
less when comparatively considered and at the expence of
will I seek to gain credit for myself or others by allegations my Colleagues or else my fellow I will
not seek to of philanthropy or or disinterestedness. In any sense incompatible with the existence
of their necessary self-preference I will not seek to produce
or maintain any such opinion as that of the
instance of disinterestedness on my part as the occasion
of the opinion given or argument employed in the subject
of any legislative measure.

As I will not seek to propagate any such
illusion delusion on my own behalf so neither will I on the
behalf of any other person whether acting in opposition
to or in support of the side embraced by me.

Much less accordingly
As little therefore will I take offence in

Accordingly among the existent objects of my endeavour
shall be that of avoiding to take offence at any intimation
by which either my conduct or the conduct of
any individual with whom or anybody of one with whom side
I act as having to been caused or influenced
by one in this or that motive by this or that inducement
either absolutely or comparatively in preference to this or that other
acknowledging that howsoever the frame of mind and the reputation
of those by whom a measure is supported or opposed may be,
the nature and tendency of the measure itself is not in any
the smallest degree changed or modified by the nature of the
motives or other inducements which have or may have given
birth to the prospect of it,
or support of it or opposition
to it made to it.
