§.7. Rates of profit in pari materia

I. For or against the Claimant. Here, in this
5th Case, is the same nakedness: the same want of support
from Accounts, accompanied with the same opportunity of —
producing Accounts, as in the 4th Case: nor is it altogether —
clear, what the period of "two years" is which here meant
to be spoken of ie. what is the day or month or year on
which it ends. In the report, Accounts relative to this
same prison, are printed in form of a Table: in the
course of which Accounts a year is spoken of under the
name of the last year, but in the title of this Table, though the word year is inserted, yet in the place of
the figures by which the year should have been expressed
stands a vacant space. At the bottom of the —
Table stands a name signed: but neither is this —
Signature any more than the Title, accompanied with
a date.

Answer. This, as above, is among the Documents which,
in the state in question, the Committee thought fit to receive; and
on the ground of which to the effect in question they thought
fit to act.

II. For the Claimant. Observations 1,2,3 and 4. the same
as those which were brought to view in relation to Cases 1,2,3 and
4, as above.

VI. As to the 6th rate, viz Southwell rate for one quarter,
ending 25th December 1813.

Observations

I. Against the Claimant — In this case
the amount of earnings is considerably greater, than in
the preceding one, furnished by the same Magistrate,
in relation to the same Prison: The —
Amount of earnings greater and thence the rate of
profit deducible from it more favourable to
the Claimant. And in relation to this last quarter viz. in
relation to "the last week", being parcel of this last quarter, in the
