Morn. Chron 6 Jany 1820
The following correspondence
Sir,
I had the honour to receive the Resolutions and
Petition of the Roman Catholic Inhabitants of the Parishes
of St Mary, St Thomas, and St George. I shall most
cheerfully present their petition; and I shall do it with
a confidence, arising not only from the merits of their
question, but from a recollection of their own good
conduct, and the steady tranquillity manifested upon the
present trying occasion, by the Roman Catholics, who
have repudiated with scorn the overtures of mischief,
of folly, and of infatuation. I have the honor to be, your
humble Servant, Henry Grattan. Tinehench, Decr 27
Anthony O'Brien, Esq. Upper Gardiner Street.
