Blameable on the score of negligence, those members, of corporate
bodies by whom the trust, being accepted had been left
unfulfilled: on men thus offending, not improperly, would might be
imposed the burthen of costs: (in thiswhich condition are, as above such
bodies): more especially on any such of them in whose
instance, at the expense of the trust-fund, guttling &
guzzling had had place. Blamable on the score of
dishonesty, except as above excepted, those who, at any time except as above
excepted instead of applying the money to its intended
purpose, put it, or any part of it into their own
pockets. Over & above the obligation of repending fine, to an amount
correspondent to degree of moral guilt, as evidenced by the
circumstances of the several individual cases, might would
in the way of subsequential prevention have
its use.
