§.5. Debate Fallacies indirected

Fifthly – The Parliamentary Debates would become
a subject of special attention; and in their influence
as a means of creating a sound public opinion
is eminently great, it would be an object of
particular care to unravel and expose the fallacies
one after another which might obtain currency
in the Right Honorable and Honourable houses.
The paper would thus become a Mirror in which
Constituents might study "the true effigies" of their
representatives, and it would exercise far more than
any of its rivals an habitual check on evil, and
hold out a more constant encouragement to good
on the part of such representatives.
