<p>Instructional – Ratiocinative<lb/>
Art. 3.  On this occasion, a question <del>that</del> <add>which</add> can not <lb/>
fail to be made, and to which particular and sinister<lb/>
interest will be eager to make answer in the negative<lb/>
<add>is this:</add>  is there any sufficient probability, that upon<lb/>
such terms, under obligation of so close an attendance<lb/>
and under such strict responsibility, and without <del>any</del> <add>salary,</add><lb/>
or remuneration in <del>a</del> <add>any other</add> pecuniary <del>shape <gap/></del> or quasi-pecuniary<lb/>
shape, apt persons will constantly be found<lb/>
willing to serve in this capacity, in adequate abundance.</p>
<p>To this question apply the following answers</p>
<p>1.  Judging from extensive and notorious custom, there<lb/>
seems to reason for regarding the requisite acceptance<lb/>
as <add>being</add> in any degree, improbable.</p>
<p>2.  <del>Should <gap/></del> Were pay in any shape, to any<lb/>
amount <del><gap/></del> <add>attached</add> to the Office, the whole plan would be<lb/>

Art. 3. On this occasion, a question that which can not
fail to be made, and to which particular and sinister
