Advantages Financial Period 1 Forborne Interest 2. The expectation of profit by interest forborne to
be received is grounded in the following proposition
viz: That if, rather without any seprorate trouble
or expence a man has it in his power to receive
the same benefit That where the receipt of
any benefit is in the first instance attended withany degree of trouble
or , how in considerable , especially if
it be not with both trouble and expence
viz. that if, without any separate trouble is expence at all a given the end can be , in any case , as
effectually as by means of a certain degree
of trouble and or expence , or both , the method by
which such trouble or expence is avoided will
be <add>in general</add> generally be preferred
viz: that in general a man will not bestow either trouble
or expence , a much less both , how inconsiderable
source the quantity , in compassing an end
which he has it in his power to compass to equal
perfection , without any such trouble or expence.
The trouble (not to speak of the and expence) attendant in the receipt
of the dividend interest in these Annuities , has
been reduced to the smallest amount possible :
because the greater it had been , the greater the
danger, lest , by the contemplation of it, individuals
should, at the outset, have been repelled from the purchase of
these Annuities : but be the reduction ever so

and this remainder , it may reasonably be expected ,
should in the ordinary state of things be
sufficient to turn the scale . On the other hand , supposing
