Procedure CodeCh. Judicial Excuses

Art. 8. The sorts of persons in whose instance the
proper matter need of an excuse, and an act of allowance thereto exercised by the Judge may is capable of having
have place, are all the several sorts of persons to whom a lawfully
authoritized judicial mandate is capable of being addressed.

The several sorts of persons to whom a lawfully authorized
judicial manate is capable of being addressed, are the several sorts
of actors in the theatre of justice, for the list of whom see Const.
Code Ch. XII. Judiciary collectively §. 2. Actors &c.
