<p>The proposed measure, it is believed, will be<lb/>
found to promise with some degree of assurance<lb/>
the following advantages <del><add>connected but</add></del> connected but perfectly<lb/>
distinct advantages</p>
<p>1. The financial profit, by contributing in<lb/>
so many various, and to such considerable amounts<lb/>
to the redemption of the principal of the debt, as<lb/>
well as to the reduction of the rate of interest, and<lb/>
for affording an engine more <add>a mode of operation</add> <add>an <gap/></add> advantageous than<lb/>
any other for the employment <add>application to that end</add> of such means as<lb/>
are or may be provided from other sources<lb/>
2. The encouragement <add>the moral advantage &#x2014;</add> to frugality and <sic>thense</sic><lb/>
to temperance among the inferior and most<lb/>
numerous <gap/> of the community.<lb/>
