4. The difficulty of concealing An operation

4. In the case where an operation is of the
forbidden kind as here, the difficulty of practicing concealing
it without con discovery, affords another source
of detection [and thus of security] to those
which have been already brought to view. Where
as here the operations of a casting furnace are
necessary, space, heat, light, and smell all concurr
in adding to the difficulty of concealment.
