Art. 1. Pro settling the remuneration of
Law Practitioner Professional Lawyer it will be the care, of the Proce
dure Code in it's arrangements, and of the Judge in
the application made of them, to minimize the na
tural repugnancy, which, in this branch of service,
is to a certain degree incurable, between the inte
rest of the Agent and that of the principal: and, to
that end, to prevent that remuneration, as far as pos
sible, from encreasing with any quantity of the vexati
on or expence, to which it is may be in the power of the
Practitioner Lawyer to give encrease.
Art. 2. Accordingly, on receiving the demand
made by the Practitioner Lawyer for his service, the Judge
will take into consideration_ not merely the quan
