<p>And be it further enacted, that, all justices appointed<lb/> to act at the said Public Offices, and their Clerks, Clerks<lb/> of the peace, of arraigns, and other Clerks of any of the<lb/> Sessions holden within the said District — all High <lb/> Constables, Keepers of Jails, Houses of Correction, and<lb/> all other persons any ways concerned ministerially in<lb/> the execution or administration of criminal justice, <lb/> all Church wardens, overseers of the poor, Vistrymen, <lb/> Vistry Clerks, Trustees, Governors, or other Managers<lb/> of the Water, Constables, Beadles, Watchmen, Parole;<lb/> and all other parochial officers whatsoever and every<lb/> one of the aforesaid Persons, being in any of the said<lb/> offices within the District, as often as the said Commissioners,<lb/> or any of them, or the Secretary to the said<lb/> Commissioners shall signify in writing, that the Board<lb/> require any assistance advice, information, or other<lb/> thing from any of the aforesaid persons, towards the<lb/> execution of this Act, they shall and they are each <lb/> of them hereby required immediately or as soon as <lb/> may be to attend in person, or to give such assistance,<lb/> advice information, or other thing, as is<lb/> so required. And if any shall fail in so doing (not<lb/> having a reasonable excuse for such failure) he shall<lb/> forfeit the sum of £10. </p> | |||
