  "I return your paper of(?) after perusing it with much pleasure. I have no doubt but that if you were to go to work in good earnest you would do something considerable. Some of your quarries you will find are solved in my printed volume, and others in the volume that is in the (?). But a few I have (?) hints of, and if I should pursue them, I shall with (...) make a proper acknowledgement. But, when the (...) which is in the (...) is printed, I think to (...) myself rest for some time, and attend to other things in which I find more satisfaction."
