Dock Yard Tuesday Feb 17th 1778

What a Blockhead am I! I have left in my red or
Orange coloured silk waistcoat pocket the key of the Chest
in which I hope to find my lost papers, the Chest
is too good to be broken open & the lock is too good to
be picked. Send me this key I beg of you immediately
you cannot send it before Thursday, therefore I cannot
return till Fryday. as it happens it will be convenient
I should stay on account of the Contract Scheme.

I have not as yet seen Mr Peake he although I am now
at his house he drinks tea out. I have just sent
