I received your letter last night: and this afternoo

Since you have been gone I have made considerable
additions to my abstract of Priestly's
book on Airs but have not finished it.
Mrr Poore has told me as a great secret
that Priestly since theythat publication of it has
made some very material discoveries, more
singular and important even than his first — One
of these is, that for of 2 Airs, which being
put together, unite, crystallise, and become a
solid. He has some of this solid now in
bottles, & will in due time exhibit the experiment-
before the Royal Society. Mr P.
had this from one of the 2 Secretaries of the Society.
It was with much difficulty that I could get
