These kind of Trials in this our present
State — it is the condition, on which we have
received that most invaluable Gift,
Our Existence; & we are very sure, that
those Loves & Friendships, so pleasingly begun
here, will be perfected & compleated
here after — but I forbear touching
any more are so tender a point.

I have this day paid Mr Wm Silver
Tallow Chandler in Hingstreet Westminster—
the Sum of Fifteen pounds to be returned
to you, & he has promised me to call, or
send a person himself, to pay it you soon—
in a few days — the enclosed is his note
which he will take up, when he pays it
I design it for two numbers in Perpetual Assurance Office — with best respects to Mrs Bentham, & my Love to
your two Sons, I am, Dr Sir,
Your most affect: & obliged Sert
Geo: Darling
